This work is a lovely example of what the eye, hand, heart and mind can accomplish without the benefit of digital 'massaging'. The artist has portrayed a young female, using the precision of her gifts to indicate the warmth, lightness, and an underlying sublime freeness of feeling touched lightly by what is some element of desire or deeper feeling, in the young womans face and gesture of her hand. The freeness of the flow of the pigments incorporate wonderfully with the artist's controlled movement of line and shade. The colors chosen are both warm and cool, and quite expressive.
Where the artist had issues with perspective and proportionality of facial features she has recovered wonderfully by the placement of florals and filled space. The composition is perfect as portrature and the negative space balances nicely.
A delightful work and worthy not only of being made a 'favorite' and 'watching' this artist develop but of acquisition at a substantial price.

Has apologized to the artist for the gender confusion (sigh)(embarrassment); I frequently do not read profiles prior to loving something, completely; and my own *hmmmm* gender prejudices frequently inflict some humiliations upon me (soft.snowy.shrug) (drys.hair).
The work is what is most important, and DO link through his 'home' page and examine the bidding on this and other works being auctioned for a VERY worthy cause.

Once again I really do love your style of dripping the materials that you use. It really helps draw my eyes back out of dark places such as the lips and eye. I love your color choice as well as your choice of medium. I have actually used coca cola before in some watercolor pieces before as well. I love how you can only really see one of her eyes as if she is shyly peering over at you. It really helps bring your chosen title out in the piece. It is hard to discern if she is glancing at you with admiration or if it is just a glance of "you are looking me yes?" which really brings in the question of "does she love me does she not?" I would have to say your color choices are superb. I love the contrast between you very bright blues, greens, yellows, etc. again these really toned out purples and browns. Very nice job and composition I am sure that this piece will receive a lot of notice at the auction you were talking about.
