See? Told you I'd be proven wrong!My (new) vision of the spirit of Kensei's newly revealed zanpakutou, Tachikaze.
He's an opinicus, which is a griffin-like creature, but instead of having an eagle's legs for forelimbs, all limbs are that of a lion's. They also have shorter tails.
And it seems he has an itch.

lol i like it, but in Okami, Tachikaze is a mouse that controls the slash move and carries a big sword. i love your version because it's kickass and speaks to more of Kensei's style. it surprised me when i looked it up here and i see the awesome opinicus. can't wait to see more of your work. really well done!

BY THE WAY-- would you happen to know the translation of Tachikaze? I know kaze is wind, which makes sense with the activation word "blow," but I don't know what tachi means and it's driving me crazy. Any help would be great, thanks!

I've heard tachikaze usually means the sound a sword makes when swung through the air, but the kanji used makes it mean something like 'earth-cutting wind', which makes sense with the release. :3
