Story time! I was in elementary scholl when we had a kind of art week where we could choos between diffrent projects and the school chouse projects for you too. I was so lucky because I was in the watercolor group for one lesson and there was an older lady. She gave us watercolors and we could just paint what we wanted to. She was so frindly and loved what we did. I was so proud of myself! At the end of the week me and my friend Lara thanked her for everything she did and I told my mom I want watercolors! (She brought me acrylpaint)After a year or two I finaly got watercolors and I still have them. I love working with them and me and Lara wanted to thank Mrs. Perras (Thats the name of the Lady) again after all this years, because if it wasnΒ΄t for her, I would have never started painting with watercolors. So we searched for her on the Internet. And guess what: WE FOUND HER! Now we want to send her a letter. Lara is writing and I want to send Mrs Perras this painting. I hope so much that she remembers us.Related content

On the outlines of the kitten, there are a few strokes outside the lines, but that isn't an issue. call me over-critical, but I look for a flaw in everything, that way it can be improved. It actually works with a kitten, since they are SO FLUFFY.

Acually that wasn't watercolors. I used a colorpencild to do the outlines but that wasn't such a good idea.

Watercolors are the most beautiful art and the fantastic message that shows me.
The cat is adorable and well drawn, especially in watercolor! The background makes me think if the cat is in sky, dreaming, or maybe in middle of nowhere. The cat's expression and its eyes closed makes me feel that it might be lost or having a mysterious dream. It makes me ponder a little bit more, and it's definitely more than just a cat sleeping in a blue background.
This is a very original deviation.
The technique used in this deviation is wonderful. The cat doesn't blur with the background and makes a spot on image.
You have put a lot of effort and I can see that.

Hey! I saw this in the gallery and I must say, it is such a cute picture!Β
As far as the background goes, I think you did a very nice job! The blue pairs well with the colour of the cat, so it makes for a good background colour. You also Blended the colours very nicely. I've only worked with water colours a few times, and it took me a while to manage to get the colours to blend well, and it still wasn't as well blended as yours is. Ps you were still able to keep the background and the cat separate, so the colours donβt blend.
The cat is really cute! It's a good colour, again it pairs nicely with the background. I donβt draw animals all too often, and I donβt have a cat of my own, so the only thing I would comment on is that the head looks like it may be just a bit too long. I'm a huge cat fan, so a picture of a sleeping kitten to me is truly sweet. But not as sweet as that story! I loved that you added a story explaining why you painted this! It added an element to the entire picture that made it that much more enjoyable. It was so nice of you to remember Mrs. Perras after all this time, and to still want to thank her. I am sure that She will love to hear from you and receive such a cute picture.

Heres a tip for the watercolors: I painted the cat first and let it dry. Then I made the backround wet and psobted blue dots on it. The water make the paint spret out and bled realy good together. The cat was not wet so the paint didn't effect the cat.
And thanks I think mrs perras will like it too.

Okay, so first off, this is just plain adorable! The concept and just the art itself are so extremely adorable!
All the colors go well together, it all seems to somehow blend in a way, and it's just drawn beautifully! What else could someone ask for in a drawing other than just those basics there? While the paws do seem a little small, everything else is great proportions-wise!
I also really, really love the background, it just seems so soothing and relaxing, just in general, it gives the drawing a more peaceful feeling, which I really enjoy! It is very eye-pleasing to see a drawing and a background go so well together to make something so cute and peaceful! Keep up the good work and always keep improving!Β Β

This is absolutely beautiful. The shading on the sleeping kitten is perfect and the detail you put into is amazing which isn't easy to do with paints. The colors you used for the background looks amazing as well.The blend is perfect with the kittens colors which helps the kitten stand out more.
Maybe to add a bit more detail you could use and small brush and add some black in here and there to give the coat a more "furry/fluffy" look.

Now, for pointers(after taking a look through your gallery) if you have any of pets, dont be afraid to use them as references or use the internet. try to draw them in all different types of positions, whether a quick sketch or an actual drawing.Β
I won't be giving a real critique because(in my opinion) you're only 14 and you have TONS of room for experimentation and development, so all i can say is just keep drawing and practicing!
