hehe it's just a case i clicked today on one of your photos (first time i saw one of your photos), checked the gallery and i don't know why but i remembered that i might saw you somewhere making photos, i took the photo at metalcamp 2006 maybe i saw you this year at metalcamp ? did you come ?

ah funny no I wasnt at metalcamp this year, I have only very limited holidays and I wasnt interested in the bands so much so I decided to go to Canada instead for a holiday, it was awesome!

thanx I am doing this for about 5 years now, well I started in 2001 already but it wasnt that intense, maybe just a few gigs a year. I am working for some magazines and bands thats how I get the photopasses.

but how do you get enough cash to travel so much ? do the magazines pay enough ?
i'm making metal photos only here in slovenia and they pay like shit, but i'm doing this just because i love metal. it's about 3 years i'm working on metal photos and i started just for fun

I have a normal 40 hours/week job beside my photography work so thats kind of enough to travel... but yeah it takes all my holidays I get from work, its oke I get a bit of money from my photography too but its not enough to live unfortunately.

You know i'm always in search of good (metal) photographers and i checked a little your gallery and i think you are one of them
what i like about your photos is that is clear what you want to shoot. There are a lot of technically good photographers with good equipment and they just don't know what they want to do, trying to do art shit
Most important thing is that you make a clear shot on who is on the photo! with no pathetic expressions or dumb angles, the photos are very symmetric and exact (in one way minimalistic). it's what i am looking for in a photographer.
i learned from someone who is a successful photographer (bastard makes a lot of money ) is that you have always keep searching what are doing others who are good, so you can find out how and what do you need to do
i'm not sure how long i will continue making photos, i'm back in photography after i quit for years.i restarted just because of metal music(was making photos since i was about 6 years old,i don't know why i quit when i was about 15).
Now the problem is i can't make enough money to buy my own equipment and i take what i can borrow from friends.

thanx so much for ur long feedback, its always nice to get constructive critisism, good or bad way, I really appreciate ur post
I hope that u can find time and passion to make more pictures, and of course get the money together for a good equipment. well there are digital srl cameras nowadays that arent that expensive and even do good quality pics... I mean as u said there are lots of photographers with super expensive equipment and when u look at their pics they are just boring and not showing any passion. u need the heart and the eye for it, then u can think about expensive equipment, thats just my oppinion. good luck for ur photo projects and thanx again for the comment
