Description this is a Kiriban for
This is how I envisioned the witch from the Narnia books.... but I wanted to draw her in a stylised way... like the way a fashion designer draws out their designs... i wanted her to be elegant....
I think I exhausted the 'cool' colours in my fabercastell range

It's interesting how you've drawn her with elvish ears, but it kind of portrays the emotionless qualities...

Yeah, i really like it, the severe look, and the flow of her cloaks, rather fetching.

You've definately done what you set out to capture

I drew her with Elvish ears cause I wanted to emphasie that she's not of the world of Narnia thats shes out worldly(?) (The magicians nephew)

Oh my! i love it - thank you so much for doing that The White Witch looks so cold and you know she's up to no good(i love the blue in her hair! did you use referance at all?) this isn't that far off on how i imagined her actually for the books - the drawing style reminds me alot of the old classic 90's cartoons like X-men and spiderman ( don't take that the wrong way - i loved those shows and your style) anyway if you ever have any ideas for something i can paint for you note me

Nope no reference..... I tried a few times to do the children with aslan using references and failed miserably, but i sat down and decided to do the witch and she just flowed out... its funny huh?
I lived on those cartoons when I was a kid.. so its a compliment.
you don't need to paint me something all the stuff you do regulary is good enought!

hehe i'm impressed that you did this with no reference. I tried drawing aslan but i seem never to do it justice after i was done, he's too great to a creature. hehe thanks for the compliment. Your work is always a pleasure to view, can't wait to see more

That's actually very close to how I imagined the witch too. It's been so long since I read the books, though...

Anyway, I love the gelid tones and the flowing lines. You've set up the mood of your piece perfectly, and I can definitely see the "designer" aspect of it.

On the page I had her standing on snow but it looked too messy when scanned so I left the backround blank

I always saw her as being older, for some reason. x3 I guess it was because I made the mistake of watching the cartoon version of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" before I read the book when I was little, so the image of that particular artist's rendition always stuck into my mind. :/

I love how you envisioned the Witch! Yes, she looks very elegant indeed, and it was a wonderful idea to draw her the way fashion designers do. I could just picture that fur coat being draped over a poor, unsuspecting boy, too..

Looks very cool, even if it's not very crisp. She looks evil a very frigid b**** sort of way. I actually can't tell if you used digital or traditional mediums to colour it (Take that as a compliment), even though it says 'tradtional art' on the little info thing.

Its been sketched out with pencil, inked then coloured with faber castell pencils... so very traditional
My Compu colouring is to crap to be mistaken for anything other than crap compu colouring
She is an evil beatch
