For some reason she reminds me of Lady Tremaine, the stepmother in Disney's Cinderella...

She seems like such a prune... And as Asynndor says, loads of lemon juice in her tea. It feeds her sour moods in the mornings...
I love the style that you decided to use for her. It seems fitting.
You're always improving :] Such lovely art all the time <3

Reminds me of Mrs. Mcvane: [link] from All I Wanna Do! I love her! She is one of those women that all the girls and women who meet her love her and the men are always a little afraid of her!

Oh wow, I love the way you've done her, from so much of it you have just created a complete character, especially, of course from her face, her nose is brilliant, despite the way you know noone could have a nose like that in real life, it fits her nicely. And I know i've said this before, but i love your colour schemes, are you tying to work with complementary colours, yellow and purple and the orange and blue? It's really interesting, I don't think i've seen many people use it

Yeah I've been going with complementary harmonies for the most part. So, using complementaries, but also blending complementaries together to use the interesting tones they create... A lot of people do complementary contrast (so, making blue pop by putting it in a sea of orange, for example) but i like this quieter result... once i get a handle on this I'll most likely try something different, and hopefully be able to choose the right color scheme for the right image-- I'm still surprising myself with results at this point, LOL.

It's really clever, I like the result more using the subtle tones rather than the really in your face ones.
It'd be a good technique to have mastered, it really makes your works interesting, rather than just sticking to the more well-used colour schemes, it makes your work very recognisable.

hurrah! That's great news, really, since I've always found that my stuff has no strong recognizable style. It's funny too because one of the artists that i go to for feedback kept trying to get me to use comp. contrast... then when he realized that I kept slipping into this he kind of went "oh--maybe this is your thing then. run with it." lol.

Marvellous work. It all fits. The hair, clothes, the hot tea ( I bet she drinks earl grey with loads of lemon juice) right to the way she holds her cup.

Yeah, you're right. Never been kissed, never done anything rebellious or improper, and thinks that's a damn good thing until the night when *something* loomed over her bed in the darkness, stroked her cheek with claws, and whispered, "Would you like to be young again, Violet?" in a voice more like a growl.

That's so very sweet! I admire Snake's art and she admires my writing and we're developing a relationship of casual but passionate mutual inspiration. It's unusual of someone else to express their enjoyment of our exchanges, and I'm flattered.
