*Show Story*

Todd pulled back his snow white hair into a ponytail, his eyes watching the mare as she pawed in her stable, all clean finaly and ready for the show.

A few days before, she had decided it would be most funny to go scampering in the mud after a heavy downpour and proceed to roll in it. When the sun came out her beautiful coat, had dried into a mass of brown muck. You wouldn't think she was anything special at a glance, she was so covered!

Speedy was in the un-natural mare barn, but the mare stablehands didn't think it would be possible to fix what the mud had done in time.

Todd and Jessica, the Harlequine barn handlers, both worked for two days to make Speedy somewhat deccent, and on the morning of the show they gave her the last finishing touches.

They appeared to have worked a miracle, and the mare who stood in the stall was barely recognisable compared with the messy girl they started out with.

Todd Smiled at jessica as she lead speedy out of her stall and handed the purple leadrope to him.

"Why don't we take a photo? You know our reference picture of her from when she arrived is a bit blurry, she was running around so much, and the sunset made her look all red.." Jessica patted the mare's shoulder.

"Thats a good idea, how about in the courtyard? Before we pop her on the trailer? You never know if she might mess herself up before we get there.." Todd nodded and lead the mare the short distance to the courtyard, and set her up for the camera.

Speedy perked her ears and watched curiously as Jessica pointed the small black object in her direction, the flash went off and she barely flinched. The two stablehands exchanged relieved smiles and they put on the mare's travel rug and bandages. They loaded her into the large transport truck with the other horses destined for the Harvest show.
