I love the humor of this, but also the message. We're always attached to our planet, and it takes care of us, so we owe it the same courtesy. I'm assuming your soiled soles are representing that connection yes?
My only thing would be to have waited until a blue sky day to use this idea, just to add to that typical image of the ideal beautiful day.
As for the photo itself, it's excellent. The quality is superb and the lighting is choice. Although the sun is behind your feet, i can see the writing and smile just fine, and am able to see every dirt-outlined wrinkle on.

Yes, most definitely. I spent some time running around in the grass/dirt, and I had hoped that the dirt on my feet would be noticeable to the viewers, as part of the concept.
It was a blue sky, but the exposure is a bit too bright, not much I could do about that at the time though. I did fix the sky a bit after reading your comment, though =].
