This is gorgeous. It has everything the 'How To' books have. Use of thirds, fabulous focus and DOF, The sky is stunning, despite what Substandart Culture says. I knew it was the UK as soon as I saw it. The nearest I have is Southport. Not exactly East Sussex. The detail in the timber......groins? Is that what they call em. Anyway, I looked at your groin closely, and the detail is great.

Wonderful composition - I love the way my eye is led way out to sea and the horizon. Clouds are fabulous and the B&W really works, which is weird really for a beach, sea and sky shot. Congratulations, it's a beauty
