the greatest villain of all time and still is to this day and the villain I felt more related to when I was growing up with the things of what evil was about in terms of learning but Vader also was the villain that helped me get through so many terrible things like life for me.

thank you, I'm the biggest Vader fan you'd ever talk to let alone I've met his original protrayer from behind the mask in 2005, a very nice and kind man he was. Even now that I understand his character even more in recent years Vader still holds up as my number 1 Villain overall but a villain that I would say we don't hate but feel mostly connected to in. Sure as kids we always liked him and wasn't scared of him unless there were those were but I was not among the feared, instead I was in awe, amazed and overwhelmed by how tall and massive he was, the darkness of what a villain brings out back in the era where we had many kinds of villains from different films but Darth Vader stands out as something very special that even today makes him of a villain to come to like and admire and even want to be.
What's even more strange that when comes to our fave villains over time we would have this "What if" they were good and with Vader many fans have done this with him, including myself and it does work if done correctly.

Even now, Darth Vader holds the title as my fave Sith Lord or Dark Lord or even in full title "Dark Lord of the Sith", with Sidious, Dooku and Maul and interestingly Darth Ravean following behind.
With my fave Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn ranks at No. 1 for me with Obi-Wan second and Luke in third, stack them three together and you have good Jedi Trio.

yes he's quite complex for someone that had suffered fear, pain, anger, hate leading him to be a part of the dark side of the force that and for how he and voldemort have many things in common in their stories

that is true witch leads him to grow more of a darth sidious type of guy his back story may have some similarities to vader's only he never had love and or friendship in his life where's vader had too much of it leading to him having fear of losing the ones he loved and at the moment in return of the jedi he made his chose to save luke from his dark master from killing thuse vader still has some good in him unlike voldemort who has non lift in him and still wants to destroy harry

not too mention his hypocrisy like most of the death eaters, the blacks, bellatrix and the malfoys, not to mention the gaunts.
if Sauron was there he would just beat voldemort with insults and roasts
