Senketsu is not allowed to buy his own clothes unsupervised.

This plays with the idea that a human Senketsu didn't come with clothing (because he was already clothing??) and thus they go on shopping trip. Also, I tried to give Ryuko new clothes because Senketsu is there to nag her to wear cuter clothes. "That ratty gray sweater is NOT cute!" I might write a continuation to this scene later lol.

Oh gods, this is absolutely precious! The idea that Senketsu doesn't quite 'get' that humans consider clothing gendered is really fun. "Really, Ryuko, it doesn't make sense - if those uniforms are for girls, why am I male?"
Also, gotta wonder how long it took him to get used to having legs, as opposed to a skirt.

...and since you mentioned that he didn't come with clothes, I am now picturing Senketsu, newly humanised and sitting in a tidepool doing the classical 'Ariel discovers her legs' thing, only less 'woo, yes!' and more 'the heck, where did my skirt go?!' And Ryuko's on the edge going 'holy freaking crap, Senketsu?!? I thought you were dead! And, you know, clothes.' 'RYUKO!!!'
And then he almost drowns himself in two feet of water trying to get to her because 1) new legs and 2) new lungs, and Ryuko makes him swear to NEVER EVER tell anyone about how this initial meeting happened, because oh god, no, ESPECIALLY not Satsuki.
I would be cross about this image being planted in my brain, but it's actually pretty awesome, so we're cool.
Though, speaking of Satsuki, do you think Junketsu is running around as a human as well in this, or just Senketsu? Also, meant to mention earlier, I love how Senketsu's eyebrows are red but normal, and then he has those sweet red bangs mimicking his ribbon/eyebrow things from his uniform form - is very nice. ^^
