(Poorly drawn) Executor Pallin cameo! Also, if you were thinking this scene is very reminisce of ME1 scene where you first meet Garrus and Executor Pallin... well... you're not wrong.

Not sure about other situations but in this scenario, Pallin doesn't think papa Vakarian can investigate the case objectively because he's potentially been emotionally compromised.

I love the emotion in this page. The quality of a visual artist is the ability to tell a story without relying too much on dialogue.
The emotions in the first two panels and the last three are excellently-conveyed.
Purely from the work done on Mr. Vakarian, I could see an entire spin-off story with him as the main character.
For me, the best panel is the second one; love that Shepard's eyes remained coloured in this black-and-white page, making them stand out and drawing the viewer's attention to them. From her dishevelled hair and the lines under her eyes, she had clearly been distressed and without sleep for some time.
The artwork of this comic series gets better with every new page.

Somehow, I always pictured Old-Man-Vakarian to be the turian equivalent of a bible-thumper. He's probably looking at Shepard and thinking: "So, you're the little hussy who's been trying to lure my boy down the path of lechery?"
