AU where Levi and Petra were on same Trainee Squad.

Drawing is based on a fanciful idea of mine (that is probably AU) where Petra and Levi were Trainee recruits. Perhaps one day I will draw a full fan comic? Anyway, the story goes like this: Petra holds aspirations of joining the Military Police, not to live in the interior as most people assume, but to serve the city and protect it from 'thugs who prey on the innocent' *cough*like Levi*cough*. However, only the top ten can qualify so Petra is determined to prove herself. Through combination of hard-work and natural talent, Petra is able to advance most of her skills but soon discovers her hand-to-hand combat is severely lacking. Petra realizes that if she does not improve significantly, she will not qualify for the top ten. Thus, she makes the crazy decision (to her fellow trainees at least) of seeking the infamous Levi for fights. He's dismissive of her at first but Petra is insistent. In the end, Levi proves to be a brutal, but highly effective, teacher. During the spars, Petra and Levi learn a little more about each other through the language of fighting.

Then, Levi graduates early. He enlists with the Scouting Legion, which surprises many. Petra reaches top ten. But just before they graduate, Wall Maria falls. And Petra makes a decision.
