Actually, this was the idea from the very beginning! Ahsoka surrenders... but she doesn't quite lose.

Ahsoka asks not for Rex's blind obedience but his trust. She is not his superior, he doesn't have to listen to her. But she's asking him to trust her. Of course he does.
