Major Helen Hill felt the piercing pain behind her eye patch. She ignored it and punched the radio button. "Steel Rain, Romeo
6. Request Fire mission at grid Delta-India-six-zero-one-four-niner. HE and Willy Pete. How copy? Over."

The voice answered, "Copy that, Romeo 6. Fire mission at grid Delta-India-six-zero-one-four-niner. Fire for effect. Enjoy
the fireworks."

Distant artillery boomed like a drumbeat from hell. Seconds later, the bullets impacted the ground. Mixture of white
phosphorous and high explosive shells exploded, creating deafening thunder and blinding flashes here and there. The aliens,
unprepared were blown to pieces. Their flesh and innards are torn inside out, turned the desert into a red paste. Stench of
flesh mixed with burning shells, creating a gnarly cocktail from deepest part of hell. But it wasn't over yet.

"Be ready," said Col. Rodriguez. The redhead calmly observed the battlefield. "The reinforcement will come any minute
now."

"Roger, that," Major Hill answered. She then punch the radio button again. "Steel rain, Romeo 6. Massive damage at the
cavern entrance. Brilliant job. Keep the guns warm up for us. Over."

"Romeo 6, Steel Rain. We will be ready. Good luck. Out."
