Description
This is a wallpaper I threw together from various sources.The Ringship was an early design of the ENTERPRISE, drawn by Matt Jeffries in the early planning stages of STAR TREK. This wallpaper uses elements from Mike Okuda and Mark Rademaker, respectively. The original pic can be found at Doug Drexler's blog ([link] ), which I combined.
I want to state: I DO NOT CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF ANY ELEMENTS IN THIS WORK! I SIMPLY COMBINED THEM FOR MY OWN DESKTOP USAGE!!

This is cool, and so wildly different from the usual ship designs we usually see.
I think it was in David Gerrold's Star Trek book, there were some of the original ship designs. They were pretty "out there" for the time. It's a shame more weren't used in the show.
The model makers would've gone quietly nuts trying to put this one together, though I wish they had. This is the sort of thing Roddenberry would've had if he'd collaborated with Syd Mead for his designs.

Oh yes, that font would be great! As long as it's the proper "Airborne" font, of course.
Oh, by the way, I LOOOOVE your new icon!! I just want to point out that in TOS, the Klingon logo pointed right, and was sideways, as Jefferies designed it. It wasn't meant to be "up-and-down" like in the later shows and movies.
