It would be easier for me just to link you a website and let you read the whole thing but I like to explain Wessy-kins


Wes Weston is a phandom made creation, being just a background character in the episode (50)"shades of gray" where he's running away during a ghost fight that is taken place (x) . It's really only the one time you see him unless you want to get elaborate and hunt down maybe hims. He unintentionally answered why no one sees Fenton as Phantom, because of 'maybe there are others that have similar hair and facial structure' so no one can really tell. His name actually was thanks to Sam in the episode "flirting with disaster" Danny gave her the infamous 'Wes ring' which is obvious how (x)  . Couldn't tell you where his personality came from exactly but it sorta spawned from a joke where maybe he was the only one that figured out Fenton is Phantom and maybe as a joke people mess with Wes saying that he's really Phantom. Making this Crocker like personality, obsessed with revealing Danny for who he is, major differences is he's a teen and may or may not have more sanity then the teacher.
But then it goes off from there. I love a lot of the headcanons made around him
