Description This was a really old drawing I made a couple of years ago after I finished typing my "Les...is a Girl?" story on my WordPad.

Come on! We ALL thought Les was girl! I mean, just look at him! Pink, screeching voice,and just SO cute and small!

Doesn't Les just look prettier as a Leslie?

So it's a girl, but whenever he speaks, he has a low voice.... unusual, but quite interesting -pondering-

Tee-hee! *huggles* Cute li'l Galagoogoo. Your drawing skills totally eat mine. >.>;

Oh, and I agree - Les so -should- have been a girl!

When I first saw an ep where he saved the day, I was overjoyed that VP may have had a female character who actually played a significant role in the story, but I was wrong. *sigh*

They should have done an episode arc where they find out that Les is in fact a girl and everyone only thought she was a boy because she wasn't able to tell them and also that it's kind of hard to tell with a Galagoogoo. I mean, s/he had hearts over his/her head when Flex Fudgehog spoke Galagoogoo to him/her.

I'd know I'd watch that episode! Les may be a boy to the creators, but to us, the Galagoogoo will always be a girl that acts like a tomboy.

Yep!
It's the 'Tails' effect - a character which really should be a girl, but for some stupid reason is a boy. It's an extra slap in the face when you find that there are next to no females in the main cast other than love interests and princesses. >.>

And that's what women today are usually depicted as.

Or as Amazons. >.>; There's never an in-between for some reason.

What I want to see is a female character who is strong, but not a six-foot-tall Amazon with a prophecy behind her or a high-achieving daddy.

What also bugs me is that it's always the ugly, nerdy smart guy who gets the pretty, popular girl.
Why is it that the smart girl never gets the cute guy? Throw us chicks a bone here!

Well, because most 'cute' guys are jerks, and girls realize that nerds are the nicest, sweetest kind of guys they'll ever meet!
