It should be no surprise that out of all my MU OCs, this girl is my most favored. And that being said for all those who have developed somewhat admiration for her.
cartuneslover16.deviantart.com⦠Thanks once again to all who have been keeping updated with my MU fanfic 'Post MU-Life's a Scream', and I assure you I am heavily imbibed in continuously working on such a story unlike any other I've done in the past.
Today being my last day of summer vacation as I start my third year at my university tomorrow, I decided to make some basic sketches featuring Laura in various poses...some probably a little interesting to say the least.
Out of all of them, my favorite has to be the one at the top-left corner.

She reminds me of the dragon from 'How to train your Dragon' and Stitch from 'Lilo & Stitch' all mixed together.

I see her singing, showing off her wings (I guess), practicing her scaring, relaxing, studying hard, and the one on the top middle kinda looks like she's about to sneeze to me.

Nice sketches, I liked the way you have drawn Laura's facial expressions and her postures, which are fitting to her character personality and design.
Top left: Somehow I can't shake the feeling Laura's standing on a large slab or rock or a stage in preparation for a song, or otherwise posing for art class. XD Her closed eyes, her relaxed wings, and her hand which was on her chest resembles a singer about to sing her signature song, or a being that was about to take flight. Very elegant and beautiful.
Top middle: The "You have got to be kidding me." face. I think Laura has saw something incredibly awkward and she couldn't believe what she was seeing. The narrowed eyes sealed the deal.
Top right: Nice way of showing her wings, I like they droop down from her back.
Lower middle: Scaring class? I can imagine her demonstrating the skill she proposed in the test to Professor Derek Knight.
Lower Left: Studying is hard. And studying two books at once is a little difficult for a monster with only two eyes, but not impossible. (there is a scene in MU that a monster with 3 eyes is studying 3 separate books at once)
lower right: Relaxing? Guess this is the part Laura is alone in her own dorm. XD

Graceful yet anxious, that's what I had been vying for.
Honestly, that's kind of what some guys see when they 'fantasize', in Squishy's case, seeing her hold her body like that was what he dreamed when he saw her for the first time.Β
Tried to make her expression there appear more nervously sensual, as why her hand is caressing below her neck. It's just another stretch.
One would say, 'Look at the wingspan on that beauty...'
Yeah, plan to work more with that pose.
Having missed 2 weeks of her first semester at MU, you only SEE two books in this sketch for now.
Basic stretching. A little more sensually given, I might add.

And she does show both, in these sketches. For me, it's more of "graceful", due to the postures you have given Laura.
hehe, and a nice fantasy at that too. Really shows her graceful side. Would be better if there is a full moon in the background, and the moonlight illuminating her form. XD

true. She has a nice length of wingspan, and I am sure there are monsters who find her wingspan beautiful.
Really predator like...judging from the pose, and as though about to spring on an unsuspecting target.

Oh I see...sensually given? It seems to me that she's relaxed. XD But the face tells me what you are saying.
I have a few little ideas:
1) You should do a sorority picture with Laura and all her friends!
2) Another is scenes of Laura with squishy!

Trying not to make it look like she was 'touching' herself if you know what I mean...
I just realized she's the only one in her sorority who has wings...but no clothes.
She could be playful with that pose.
I plan on such pictures, a 'before' and 'after: the before is where her team has become official but they, especially Laura, seem to 'lack it' with last-minute 'trademark uniforms' for the first event; the after shows them in their new and improved uniforms and confidence, especially Laura.
Plan to draw Squishy some time as well.

I understand, but her hand is on her chest than base of the neck...
I see, true...which is interesting, but I am sure she can easily get a MU jacket from the store in campus. (custom made with two holes for her wings at the back) Looking at the characters, I noticed a large majority of the monsters don't wear any clothing at all in MU, save for those who are in the frats and sororities, or like chet, wears caps instead.
Younger Laura, that is.
Well, there's always help coming when you can source for it. I would definitely like to see their trademark uniforms and then followed by the new and improved ones that would be worn at the finals. You can show the difference and the design for the two different types of uniform, and Squishy's mother can definitely help out in this category. Have you thought of a name and abbreviation for Laura's sorority?

Trust me, I found the PERFECT kind of sorority additional material that will compliment her figure greatly.
Well, she begins to 'cut a little loose' as the story progresses, much to the convincing of her friends.
Don't worry, I thought of the PERFECT initials for her sorority that represents them greatly...but you'll have to wait for chapter THREE to find out.
