Steven. Holds no resentment towards Garnet on any level, which is really funny to me because she's basically the only one of the three that he physically struck up until Steven Vs Amethyst. In any case, that was a moment of stress about his gut feelings about the mirror, so it doesn't particularly qualify as relating to any real motive. Steven is innocent, and a sweet little cinnamon roll to boot!
Pearl. She has an unfortunate romantic attachment to Garnet, probably as a substitute for the kind of latching she did with Rose. Garnet seems too tactful to bring this up so it's unlikely they had some kind of spat to provoke Pearl into trying to murder Garnet. While not innocent, I rule her out as the culprit in the case. That being said, guard up; she's been acting stranger than usual and is much more tense.
Armrest. Armrest is purple. She's also definitely one of the two prime suspects in the case. She doesn't resent Garnet, not for long anyhoo, and she clearly prefers things to be peaceful between everybody, but her own self consciousness has led to aggressive responses when Garnet tries to reel her in. It's also resulted in some grotesque self harm, specifically by reforming into unstable, uncomfortable looking forms half to satisfy Garnet and half to make a point. She's also been behaving as if she is nervous, which is not like her, though it could be attributed to the scenario.
Peridot. The other prime suspect. While not nearly as genuinely vindictive as somebody like Jasper, Peridot is by no means a benevolent gem and is extremely prone to fits of outraged yelling and violent activity, including destruction of public and private property. Peridot is a gem of decisive action as she has shown on numerous occasions, such as during her initiative to cannibalize common household appliances for drill parts and during her study of human flight capabilities. Her relationship with Garnet is what puts her at the top of the list of suspects; from the get-go Peridot has displayed distaste for Garnet's nature as a fusion and Garnet has traditionally responded with both a measure of calmness and no small amount of muted spite, tying Peridot to a wooden post as punishment for her comments. Peridot also took notice of Garnet constantly stalking her and became extremely uncomfortable when Garnet offered to fuse with her (YIKES) to help her understand fusion more.
Lion. Shit, man, I dunno, he's kind of just a big possibly sentient cat. Dude likes to climb in boxes and eats raw animal carcasses. I highly doubt he's capable of trying to murder Garnet, much less wield the knife used in the murder.

Plot twist: Lion went to the trouble of figuring out how to use a knife because he knew it'd throw everyone off his scent. Everyone blames Peridot and he gets away scott free.
