As expected, Ms. Vanilla won. "Better next time, Mr. Vector," Cream said. "I can't beat your mom, Cream. She's just too good at this," he said with a half smile. "Now, it is feeding time," Cream's mom said. "Can I watch?" Cream asked.
Ms. Vanilla nodded. "I think you will have a better time with Silver or Moriko. They aren't really that picky," informed Blaze. Vector had heed her words. He picked up Silver. Blaze handled Moriko and Amy. Ms. Vanilla handled Sonic and Shadow.

Shadow tried to relax and keep eating. Each of the babies were beginning to fall asleep. Tails had arrived. "How is everyone?" he asked. "Just settling down for a little nap," Ms. Vanilla replied. "How is the research? Anything else show up?" asked Vector.

"Good news. I have completed the research and found out that it is a very harsh flu only contagious to other hedgehogs...well, it's good news or bad news however you take it," the intelligent fox explained to them. "Can I feed one of the babies, now?" Cream asked sitting next to her mother. "If what Tails said is really true, than yes you may," she replied.

"It's basically, the flu that has hit a lot of hedgehogs hard. It's flu season, you know," added Tails. "It's flu season every season," Vector commented. Cream had been given Shadow. Shadow looked at her very skeptically. Cream simply smiled at him and began feeding him. "Drink everything, Shadow," Cream instructed.

"What's the bad news?" Blaze asked. "There really isn't any bad news. I just have to let the laser charge. Last time it took 2 weeks from what I remember," he had replied. "Oh good. So, will they be able to get better?" Ms. Vanilla asked. He nodded, "We'll continue to keep them this way until they are well."

All of the babies were ready to lay down for their nap. Ms. Vanilla showed Vector that humming, rocking in a chair, or rubbing their backs or bellies very gently would help them go to sleep. Vector rubbed Silver's back. Silver enjoyed it and closed his eyes. When it seems that the hedgehogs were all asleep, Ms. Vanilla decided to stay and make sure they were taken care of. Vector went into the livingroom and called his comrades to check up on them and make sure everything was in tip top shape. Cream's mom fell asleep in her chair.

Moriko opened her eyes when she heard some strange noises outside of the window in the rain.
