you did that by your own? O.o AMAZING!
what kind of wood is it? I sell wood carving knifes in my store, but I never used they. Can you say me in small words how you did it? :3

First time I tried I lost the comment! Ok here goes:
This carving needs a good sharp knife and a gouge, a small one.
First you draw the design on two adjoining sides. The view with the most waste wood is cut into first. I sometimes chip it out with a knife if the tip is good and strong, many times I'll rough it out with a small saw. In the cutting you will take the drawing off the other side so when one side is done redraw and approach the other view. Why draw both views at first? You don't have to but it helps me to see where things line up. Cut your way in, if the wood looks like it will split, just relieve it by severing the grain before you remove chips. Keep turning the thing in your hand and take smaller and smaller chips till you are about done. I'll run the blade through the creases to sharpen em up and then sand the rounds on the shark but leave the tool marks on the 'base'. I'll leave things like the fins with some wood on em till last as they are very delicate. Keep glue handy! That is about how it goes..... I looked at an illustration in Petersons feild guide to get me started.

I love this.
I like to carve things myself, but I've never made anything as good as this.

If you are using a knife now at 17 then believe me by the time you get to be 46 you'll exceed this!

If you don't mind getting a cut or two I'm sure you could! a pocket knife and a small gouge are all it takes.

Thanks. When you have wood that fine it looks good even before you carve it!

If your knife is sharp the wood practically jumps out of the way. Especially creamy pine like that.
