... This is actually a good concept of a dire wolf that goes beyond the basic "giant wolf" look. It's nice and refreshing. o;
Also, as for dog breed suggestions that would suit Skyrim you obviously have the Siberian Husky. But then you could have the Malamute and Akita. Newfoundland, the almighty St. Bernard. And a new breed that I just found out about; the Norwegian Elkhound. And just because I love the giant breed; the Great Dane. xD

I had a feeling because I think I saw them somewh-- near the trolls. Now I remember. xD They came with the vampires, didn't they?
Two things I literally did a quick search for; "winter breed dogs" and "Viking dogs". xD Elkhounds look gorgeous, I agree. And I didn't know they were a thing until now.

No I was being sarcastic haha xD
I'm VERY easily distracted when I play games haha, I can barely finish quests, because I always have to explore random stuff I come across haha
I get to hear that quite often when I play with friends, can't have me leading them for too long, cus then we never get to our destination C:
I've played all the guilds and groups, like dawnguard, blades, dark brotherhood, bard etc. xD
But I usually restrict myself to my character's personality, which is hard in Skyrim, cus it just gives you the quests and almost force you to participate in them xD
That teacher at winterhold is still waiting for me to cast that ward C: Rip
But it keeps all gameplays fresh, which is nice and probably why I've managed to play the game as much as I have aand it's easier not to get distracted, which is why I've managed to finish quests xD
With my first character I was EVERYTHING tho, cus I just had to try out everything. Can't help it, it's in our blood xD

Yeah, especially when you're replaying and you know certain side quests give you decent loot - you just can't help yourself. xD
It is a little disappointing that it's easy to switch from one certain gameplay to another because there's no restrictions or limits. I always end up being a sneak-thief with stupid archery skills instead of the bulky hammer-wielding sod. xD Everytime, man, everytime.
I have, for the first time ever, finished the Thieves Guild. And I also finished the Dark Brotherhood, too. Bard's College and Mage's College is too easy in my opinion. xD Also, the Companions. They are a go-to for me to avoid contracting diseases of vampirism.
And yes! Same! My first time playing I just went for everything and I still plan on having one character just be ace at everything. xD

haha yea xD
You just need that skeleton key!
Yea I miss the restrictions too. I get why they are so loose, but they couldn've made it harder to swap class in game.
Like making you pay a lot of gold to change skill points or something like that :/
I don't think I've ever heard of a Skyrim gamer that hasn't been a sneak thief xD
In early gameplay it's kinda needed, since too many enemies will slaughter you, and you need to take one at the time.
Tried warrior ones, didn't go so well. All bandits at once, not a change in hell. Unless you got a type of fear shout, like with the werewolf xD
haha bard's college is just weird. You got to clear hard dungeons to become a singer. Instead of actually proving your bard skills xD
You're a brute? Sure, become a bard! You're a brute? Become a mage at the winterhold college. Still a brute? Become a thief!

I legit once never gave the skeleton key back. xD Like, ever. I just kept it and unlocked everything I came across. But this time I gave it back because... Even at 60/70 level lockpick.... I can unlock the master locks. ouo;; It takes a long time to do, and you have to be soooo careful, but I manage it. xD And the exp you get is freakin' massive! I was just like, "fuck this key, I can do master locks!" and just gave it back. xD
The only thing they have for you to follow the path of "warrior", "mage", or "rogue" is the waystones... But you can change them every day and gain bonuses for them. Like, what's the point?
I've been a sneak thief, my mum has been a sneak thief, my sister has been a sneak thief... It's hard not to be a sneak thief. So I legit want to just have different characters be different things. But when nothing in the game changes to your choices... Eh, you kinda wonder what's the point in joining the Stormcloaks in one gameplay or joining the Imperials in the next.
"So you want to be a bard, huh? You can join - but you won't be singing or playing instruments - you shall be doing the dirty work by killing and venturing in dungeons. What's that? That's not being a bard? It is because I said so."
The faults with Skyrim, a tale by all those disappointed.

Yeah there should at least be more of a penalty or something. But I actually think that the freedom they give you in Skyrim is what makes it so damn popular.
Even on consoles before we could mod.
The endgame is pretty much the same yea. I haven't played both sides of the dawnguard DLC yet, but I wonder if that would be the same too (probably) :/
In Fallout 4 your choices got a little bit more impact on the world at least. Not as much as in FO3 and FONV, but more then Skyrim xD
Haha so many faults, but so many still love the game, including me xD
It funny that when you ask people what they like about Skyrim. It's never what people usually say would make a great game.
Most quests are generic and bad, too few voice actors (and lines), not great grafics, and the fighting system is minimalistic. But I still love it!
It's funny tho, that people complain about FO4 not having enough dialog options "because Skyrim got a lot of it". When 70% of Skyrims dialog options is only one option xD
But your character don't talk at least and ruin the immersion. That should be an optional thing in my opinion. And I'd like the full sentences, cus half of the time I misunderstand and the character says something completely different from what I imagined...

Yeah, I can see the ups and downs to having the option to freely pick and choose. xD But it's so easy to quickly switch from a brawler-type character to a leave-a-poison-in-the-NPC-inventory-type. xD
But yeah, despite the faults, glitches, and... Everything else, it is a go-to game when you're bored. xD I mean, where else would you randomly encounter a headless NPC casually strolling by and bidding you a good day?
Or hunt mammoths and, miraculously, watch one fly?
And the good old walking somewhere and a body drops from the sky and you damn well know. You know! They fought a giant. And lost.
Oblivion was terrible for the bad dialogue. O.o Holy heck, the NPC would say one thing and their subtitle says something else. And the voice acting is... bad. xD
Yeah, FO4 was bad with having the text say one thing but your character says something else, something you didn't mean to say, and you're just like "fffffffffffffffuuu--"
It's the same with Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Text says one thing, you take it another way, suddenly your character is waging war instead of sorting it out peacefully as you thought it would be like. xD

Haha yea xD
Well Skyrims bugs and glitches are it's features after all xD
Or when you fast travle and a huge shadow pops up and a dragon falls on top of you and burn up, and you're like "..... thanks for the soul.."
Omg haha, I only played the start of Oblivion
I'd rather wait for Skyblivion or Beyond Skyrim Cyrodill xD
Yupp, like when you think you're being diplomatic and your character goes like "fak u!" *shoots* and you just sit there and facepalm yourself xD
At times I felt so disconected from my character since I didn't know what he/she would do...
And the sarcastic option in FO4 is so cringy xI

AccursedLore In reply to CasArtss [2019-01-07 15:54:54 +0000 UTC]
Or when you kill a dragon and then you fast travel somewhere and the corpse decides to follow you. That was annoying. xD
I played a lot of Oblivion but I never finished it. I'm sad that I can't see most of the bad dialogues since I would have to wrestle with the family just to play it. xD
Your character just received an item from an NPC, what do you say?
Option 1: Thank you
Option 2: This isn't what I want
Option 3: Don't you have something better?
Option 4: Kill him and loot the body
What you think you say; "Thank you for this!"
What you actually say; "... Wow, gee... Thanks, I guess?"
...................... Excuse you?
But yeah, the options in FO4 are cringy. It seems too.. forced? And most of what you say gets ignored unless it's a skill-check one. You could tell an NPC to "fuck off" or "I'll kill you" and they'll laugh like you said a different option... Kind of like the Vault Dweller salesman in the very beginning - your choices literally don't matter there.

haha yeah xD
Ah yea, wish they had more of an impact. At least in Witcher, dragonage and mass effect, your dialog options had at least some effect or got a different and/or fitting response.
Even if you still misunderstood the options a bit, I mean. In Witcher I accidentally romanced two characters, cus. life I guess. It was hilarious tho, because they punish you for cheating, but I was like "oh nooooo" *hides*
I don't know how.. Still don't know if the game glitched or if I somehow completely messed up the dialog options, but Geralt got dumped in the most hilarious way and ended up single and alone in the end x'D rip

Yeah, Bethesda really needs to learn from the pros in how dialogue can actually affect gameplay. Dragon Age is definitely a good example in terms of affecting friendships and turning enemies into allies or just making them go "you know what, you're right. I won't fight you, I'll just bugger off." And they do. They actually bugger off and you never see them again. xD
In Bethesda you can change your mind and kill them, so it never mattered what you picked.
The Witcher.
Oh my God!! I LOVE the game - I have all of them on Steam and I even have the books!
I even have a Witcher tattoo!!
But, again, a good example of what you say and do affects the game in either a positive or negative way.
I shagged so many women as Geralt. And I am a massive fan of his scarred body. Just, wow!
But seriously, I love games where your choices really do matter and actually affect the world around you. Dragon Age is a bit... iffy, because no matter what the ending is the same; you can affect the future, however, and it definitely focused on that in the next games. How you played, who you were, and what you were really does matter.
Bethesda has good opportunities where your choices could impact the game, whether good or bad, but they didn't do that. And it's a shame - their games could have been better even with the existing glitches and bugs. Because the impaction and the possibilities would make it replayable, over and over again.
But that requires effort.
And Bethesda is more into making money that putting effort into games to make them good...
... Or work properly. xD

Number 2 seemed like it was lacking something... But to be fair, at least it tied up loose ends for the first game (you get to see how life was for those not chosen to fight the Blight) and it was the opening to the third game. I wish they did more in terms of letting you play the role of a gang leader - or at least not do the whole "You join - skip to where you're the leader and well-known". Like, let me do more there! xD Would have been interesting to do.
All of my lady-bits tingled when you first meet Fenrir, holy crap. x//o//x What a freakin' entrance!
I also haven't played Witcher 1 and 2, but I own them and 3, as well as the DLC for 3. So when I have a good computer I am going to no-life Witcher. xD But the books are sooo good! Sadly, the ending of one of the books is spoiled for me and I wish I hadn't seen the fanart for the end. Or read the comments out of confusion.
It sucked. ono
But I'll still read the books because I want to see if they left anything out of the games. But legit, the Witcher seems like it was freakin' set in Medieval England... The slang is so similar to here. xD
It's a shame gaming companies care more about money than the quality of their games.
My partner wants to make his own games so he's learning from other gaming company's mistakes. I agreed to help him in terms of spelling and grammar because he isn't that great at it. I agreed on the terms that he would make games that I would play. xD

Anders was in the first game!? What?!?!?
Fenris is a freakin' babe, though. I mean, if you're going to have an over-protective boyfriend have one that is lyrium-burned and looks like that. Also, he fan-art of Fenris is amazing. xD
But oh my God, I feel guilty when you romance someone in the second one and in Inquisition you either kill the character you loved, adored, and played or the last Senior Grey Warden. You either sacrifice the person you played or you sacrifice the only one whose duty is to kill the Archdemon as he is the oldest and close to death already.
Can you imagine the reaction to the romanced partner of Hawke? ;o;
And yes! DLCs should be focused around just... add-ons. Or extra content, quests, or cosmetics.

I think I have the Dragon Age Origins and DLC on my laptop - and it works... I may have to wipe the dust off and find him. o;
I couldn't sacrifice Alistair either in DAO. ;o; He was such a dorky sweetheart! But holy crap, one thing broke my heart and it was a picture I saw on Pinterest about DAO... And your Mabari hound.
It was literally some panels of the aftermath; the Archdemon is dead, everyone is saved; the Blight has ended. But the next panel you see a small figure, next panel is closer and you see a Mabari hound - your character's Mabari hound.
Sitting there, next to a body. Ears down. And looking around for someone to help you.
I.
Cried.
Because I never thought about the consequences of your character's death. ;o; My poor baby!!
I didn't even realise Dragon Age 2 had any DLC, so I never played it. But it does explain some parts of Inquisition that... I sort of didn't understand. And that sucks.

Reminds me of that dog who kept coming to the train station to great his owner every day, even after he passed away..
The ending when your character dies is sooo sad. Everyone just whiping, you really feel the weight of your death.
Hawkes death in DAI didn't feel like that at all, even tho it should've :/
Alistairs death in DAO is sooo sad too, if you romanced him. Since he sacrifices himself for the player if you refused to go through the deal with Morgan.
I remember how hard and messed up that decisions was.. Leave Alistair, have Alistair lay with Morgan or refuse and he'll die...

AccursedLore In reply to CasArtss [2019-01-15 14:03:52 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, DA succeeds in making you have real emotion towards characters. But I agree on Hawke's death in Inquisition; it was missing something. Like, you feel guilty and you do feel sad. But it wasn't the same as the DAO deaths of either you or Alistair.
The only time you start to feel sad about it is when you talk to Varric. His attitude towards you changes, drastically. Because that was his best friend and he got him killed because he dragged him back into this mess. That's the only thing I got from it.
... But saying that - and it's only just occurred to me while writing that - doesn't that make it... good? You as the Inquisitor don't know him, you've just met him. You don't have the attachments that Varric does, and you as the player do. As the Inquisitor, you have to think about who would be better off dead just so you and your friends can escape and save the world.
One life for many.
Sounds heartless and cruel, even unfeeling but someone had to do it. And if you kept the Greywardens it makes sense to keep Stroud alive for the next Blight. Hawke is an amazing character, I won't lie, but I don't know how else s/he could add to the game.
Someone mentioned... somewhere, either in the forums or on a thread, that Hawke might not be dead since you don't actually see him die.
Plus, it's the Fade and there is still so much that isn't known about the Fade, anything is possible there whether or not you're there in physical form. There's just too many "what if's" when it comes to the freakin' Fade. xD
But yes, I think the first time I played I legit cried because I romanced Alistair, didn't let him sleep with Morrigan and the fight they had... My God, it crushed me. Because my character didn't let Alistair do it; she did it herself.
That is very true, though. xD DLCs everywhere!

Greywardens are a priority so there were no questions about it. It was anyway quite in character for my hawke to sacrifice herself xD
But it was weird that I had to pick who was gonna die. Like they couldn't have figured that out themselves xD
Ah yea, such a hard choise when he starts arguing with you, since he know that you'll die and wouldn't have it.
Aand then sacrifices himself. sob.

The first time I sacrificed Hawke and I talked to Varric about it... Christ, I felt guilty. ;n; Like, not only did I have to sacrifice someone that I played but I sacrificed someone who was best friends with my own best friend.
I betrayed Varric. ;n; That hurt because he's my favourite character for many reasons. His humour, his little comments, the fact that he literally became Daddy-Varric to Cole.
And I betrayed him by killing Hawke!! ToT
But yeah, for us players we know that Greywardens are needed since they're the only ones that can end the Blight. And events in Inquisition puts a strain on their relationship with the entire world.
I wonder if the next game will be about that...?

Did you know that if Alistair remained a Warden at the end of Origins it would be him that you would have to choose to sacrifice beside Hawke? >u> Because I sure didn't!
Going by the new one I think the Inquisitor is going to be back, but I'm not sure about Morrigan and Alistair because they have to have so many different game plays depending on how you played the previous ones. They might let Morrigan and Alistair have their peace and pick other characters from the previous games to let them have the limelight again.
Honestly, I am really hyped for the next game. I want to see where they go with this one, and from the trailers, you know that Solas is going to be the main villain!
And if they play their cards right it could be a heartbreaking experience - especially if you romanced Solas as the Inquisitor. o;
