I guess it's because of how Cato never really expressed any emotions for his fellow tribute until she died. (Like Blackstar and Russetfur.)

i honestly hated that scene; not because of russetfur's death but how everyone makes a big deal out of it?? i mean, she was KILLING firestar. lionblaze was PROTECTING his leader.
also, since warriors has a LOT of characters, i don't really care for russetfur. she's just another cat? i don't think she made much of an appearance in the book.
