bio:many years ago two toa fell in love the strong fire toa ranrow and the devoted ice toa selna, though many thought it a strange venture two toa of two different tribes falling in love ranrow's and selna's love blossomed and they were blessed with two children. the oldest child was born a fire toa and the youngest was born an ice toa they named them kimato and kyrus. being toa ranrow and selna had a duety to protect their tribes so to make sure the children were trained properly ranrow took kimato to train with the fire tribe and selna took kyrus to train with the ice tribes. many years of training the two boy made them very skilled toa. in adolescence kimato was well respected by both his mother and father but kyrus tried many times to impress his father but was always out-shined by kimato. one indecent conflicted with his father in which ranrow said he regrets having kyrus as a son.kyrus fled from both tribes and was never seen again until the toa were called to the great temple were he was reunited with his brother kimato who welcomed his with open arms. kyrus was pleased to see both his brother and mother but even though his father tried to take back what he said kyrus rejected his fathers request. the turaga soon called for the toa for an evil enemie slumbered no more. the maku, colossal slug like creatures made from the flesh of the makuta who feast on the land of kallu. both brothers fought for many years teaming up with three other toa mortok toa of iron, toa lerakka toa of air and toa gitia toa of water.kyrus found that he had feeling for gatia and never found the time to tel her.gatia was more interested in kimatos strength and ego and less interested in kyrus's intellect even though he became like a big brother to her.after the fall of the maku it came to light that gatia had become pregnant with kimatos child, the hatred that was building up in kyrus became too much for him and finally decided that if he could not take any more of his brothers life. he traveled to a great mountain were he made a deal with a dark matoran who promised him power and strength if he killed two of his toa brothers, with out even thinken kyrus butchered mortok and lerakka. but he was seen by gatia and had to decide ether to let her live and be discovered by kimato and surely defeated or kill her and face kimato with the powers of the makuta, so he had his henchmen take her to far away island kyrus returned to the matoran with the heads of mortok and lerakka, the matoan was pleased and transformed into the great makuta icarax and infused kyrus with the dark powers of anger. with this power kyrus destroyed his fathers tribe and his brothers tribe tortured and killed many matoran and toraga until he was confronted by kimato. kyrus challenged kimato to fight on the mountain of toa, kimato accepted the challenge. preparing for the fight kimato was taken aside by a strange matoran in a cloak who told him a way of defeating kyrus.the matoran gave kimato a stone that glowed bright red,he told him to through the stone at kyrus at the right time and kyrus shall be imprisoned forever. at the mountain of toa kyrus waited impatiently kimato walked into the battle ground with a crowd of matoran and turaga behind him. kyrus immediately ran to attack kimato but before he could finish him kimato throw the stone and krus felt the powers of the stone immediately and slowly his body turned into the bright red stone kimato watched in horror as his brothers was imprisoned in a tome made of his own body. kimato returned to his broken tribe. many years after kyrus was broken free by an admirer of his a fire toa called kria and his spirit travelled through the air until it was taken by the makuta. the makuta bargianed with kyrus, he promised kyrus a new body and the power he lost if he would serve as the makutas agent of shadow and corrupt the weak recruit the ruthless and destroy the pure toa.at the same time the spirit of kimato was re-awakened by the great spirit who told kimato of his brothers release kimato with out thinking accepted the mission of stopping his brother once and for all.
so the reason behind this re-imagination of kyrus was the head that mask was just getting old and it seemed with every rendition of him he got spike-yer and spike-yer and using those ex forcew arms was getting a little boring for me so i desided to re-hash kyrus's body design with more of an arctic knight theme with a little of deadspace 3 armor in there as well. the head was mainly because kyrus is supost to look like he's wearing a crown of sharp blades, don't know if i'll paint on some black eye holes on it yet but i like the whole faceless look
