This, to me, is THE song for The Master. I mean, he's crazy, he's power-hungry, it's perfect! I had actually been listening to this song by accident when I made the connection. Then I squee'd. It shocked me that no one made a music video on youtube for it. *rolls eyes*

This song made me think of how the Doctor always tries to do the right thing... but it doesn't always work out. Sometimes he makes a mistake (highly rare), or the people he helps are crazy enough to be beyond helping. *coughMastercough*

I could see this referring to the Doctor realizing he wasn't the last Time Lord, yet the horrid fact that it had to be a insane Time Lord intent on making his life miserable. Yes, I could see him under this song in direction to the Master.

A song to explain the dynamic hatred/depency between the Doctor and Master. *shrug* Not to mention I think David Tennant and William Beckett might be hip-twins.

Believe it or not, I could actually see the Master under this song directed to the Doctor. I've always thought the Master had this "I know you for who you really are" complex when it came to the Doctor. He obviously DOES know. *big smile*

I think the saddest part of the Doctor's and the Master's relationship is that the Doctor genuinely wants to help his enemy, but the Master's too proud, insane, paranoid, etc. to accept it. *pout* Poor blokes.

Ugh, the TENSION with these two! I remember first watching the Sound Of Drums episode and having my head almost explode from the angsty tension between them. GET A BED, YOU GAIS.

The Doctor said for he and the Master to fight anywhere, anyplace except Earth. And the Master picked Earth anyway. This song enphisized the Master's loathing fascination with himself and the Doctor.

I listened to this and got all boo-hoo-y because I felt that it's bittersweet feeling was probably the same feeling the Doctor felt after the Master died in Last Of The Time Lords. It not only meant that he'd tried so hard to make everything iron out okay and not lose the Master, but it had failed, and he's the last of his kind. *sniffles* Poor Doctor.

I like this song for the Doctor and Master because it seemed like something the Master would say towards the Doctor- if you think about it. Like, they used to be friends (or lovers, depending your preference), and now it's all gone to hell. The two of them are too guarded against each other to ever go back to the way it was.

I don't think the Master will ever want the Doctor's forgiveness. He hates himself too much, he hates what the Doctor loves (the Master himself, the human race), and he's too proud. This song reflected that for me.

The cunning Master and his little games with the Doctor- how he seeks to conquer everything (especially the doctor (in more ways than one *wink*)), and how he revels in the damage he does. I recall seeing a music video on youtube of the Doctor and Master to this song, and it got me to thinking. It sounds like the Master's constant ultimatums to his nemesis.

Oh, I listened to this and had an epiphany. It's for the Doctor perfectly. Why, you ask? It looks over how unlucky he is with his compainions. Some of them fall in love with him, some fall in love with others, some leave, some die. Through it all, he keeps trying to be the optimist and keeps trying to do the right thing. I could see this being a confessional of his. *hugs him*

Believe it or not- I thought of the Master. This song seems very discounting towards certain things, and I think he wants to discount everything the Doctor cares about. (Because he's jealous. *cough*)
