Sure....A monarch does not have a line that goes through the wing near the edge of the wing. The angle here you can see the line about .25 inch from the edge that goes parallel to the edge of the lower wing.

Goodness. Now I will have to go through my "monarch" pictures and determine if they are or are not monarchs. Not happening tonight but hopefully tomorrow!
