Ceti Prime? Why not Tau Ceti?

Tau Ceti is overrated,,, so Ceti Prime is my choice... lol

Awesome! Are these the new cloud capabilities of the latest edition of Mojo?

thanks!!! And yes, MJ3 pro has these capabilities...

I must say, that is a decided improvement over the clouds Mojo used to make. They actually look reasonably realistic (though I didn't see the shadows you see in thunderheads, only the outline; does it do shadows, too?)

I know I have seen shadows,,, these clouds and the terraines are done totally in the volumetric section of Mojo... I dont even have much of a clue how they made it,,, i am still waiting for a good tutorial on it...the one I have so far is not much help...

Well, thanks for letting me know. Is the GUI in the most recent version any better. I pretty much quit trying to use Mojo because the GUI was do counterintuitive for me, and because of lack of time. I never wanted to restrict myself to exploring other people's worlds. I wanted to make my own. I couldn't even figure out how to do anything more than wander around and render whatever I saw.

I wouldnt say that it is better than before,,like you, i am so lost in it, it is unbelievable...perhaps in the next version they can write a better manual... However in this newer version they do have a Random world wizard where you can do random worlds/skies/ etc click the button and have a new world ready to play with ... but I have found them lacking in detail and the textures not so nice.... I will eventually (next spring hopefully when I quit working) start learning Mojo from scratch and then perhaps be able to make tutorials that others can understand.. But i think that until Mojoworld gets the recognition like Terragen has, and enough users, it will be a while before we get Tutorials made that we can understand..lol..

PatGoltz In reply to Casperium [2006-09-27 04:46:01 +0000 UTC]

Well, the manual I have is THICK enough! I actually read a bunch of it, because I was that lost!

Problem with random worlds is that you didn't create it. That's the objection I have to the existing worlds. Exploring someone else's world only goes so far.

Tutorials would be welcome. But maybe I'll play with it soon. I'm off on an Ultrafractal kick right now. Maybe if I devote myself to it, I can figure out a few things. If I start making some of my own elements, I'll be much more inclined to pursue it. But I can't come close to affording an upgrade, and that's not good!
