Working on my "Tarot" project, I had a lot of trouble choosing the perfect-fitting subject for the "empress" figure. At first, I tried to rework on a Lagherta picture but wasn't really satisfied about the complexity of the meaning. Then I searched for inspiration here on DA, found some references but still wasn't completely content about them.

Finally I saw the grandma of my boyfriend sitting in this "throne" like position, and figured out she whould have been a perfect fit for the Empress. Also she, at her old age, still manage the farm work and commands everyone and wants control, in a good way speaking.

So here we are, granny Ettora the Empress of my Tarot's deck.
