Description Working on some character concept art for my portfolio. For this character I had the idea of creating a merchant-type character based off of the Japanese maneki neko, or 'welcome cat.' I'm sure you've all seen at least one of these in your lifetime, even if it was at the counter of a convenience store of take-away joint.
