Description Some people have been asking me what things I use for inking and general production of my drawings. I sketch stuff up with a regular old HB and mechanical pencil then ink with a variety of inking pens. I prefer Copic multi liners since they come in a variety of colours and sizes and don't smudge when I use my markers over them. I do however have some big Sakura microns for larger areas.
For my white highlights I use a Japanese white manga paint, this type is pretty hard to get now but the Copic brand of white opaque paint will do the same job. It's gorgeous stuff, if you've never used it before I recommend it. Unlike using white acrylic paint this special paint dilutes well and holds it's white over time and whenever my pot dries up I add more water and it's perfect again.

You can see some of my Copics in the background. I have well over 50 markers now through a few years of buying them. I've tried all of the major marker brands but Copics are my personal favourite, I love Copic sketch and ciao markers for their brush-like tip. I find them a pleasure to work with.

Right now I'm using my own guillotine cut paper for my sketch cards. I use a thick Canson bristol board and cut them up myself. I have a custom set of my own cards on the way but they're not here yet.
I only really use cheap papers like printer paper for sketching and prelim work, thin .gsm paper won't absorb as much ink as a thicker paper and bleeds a lot more.

If anyone has any questions about my drawing tools leave a question here and I'll try and answer it for you.

I bought some of the Copic markers from Micheal's and used them on some pics. I got to say, I love the watercolor blending effect they give, defiantly worth their painful price. However, they don't have the multi liners yet, but I'll keep a lookout.

I adore compic markers myself and I use 100gsm paper, it may not be the besat (somtimes bleeds) but money matter suck.

I've tried the three most popular brands, Copics, Trias and Prismacolors and I must admit that out of the three Copics are by far my personal favourite. Prismacolors were my least favourite, I'm not a fan of the nibs and they don't have many softer colours like Copics or Trias. They're still a decent marker though.

It's so surprising, I haven't find any copics yet but Ive seen prismascolor, and they sell it for like 1 US dollars

I got it from my local art store but I'm pretty sure you can buy them at office supply shops as well. Good luck!

Aaand that's another vote for copics. Now I'm super bummed that I can't find any in my area. I'll have to start ordering copic supplies online. :<

Thank you for sharing a peek at your preferred materials!

**OMG IT'S ALCHEMY!**

How large is your Guillotine? I don't own one myself, but since the only ones I've been using is the ancient art school ones which are really big!

I have a small one just bigger than A4 size, it's one of the arm-lift ones too.
