Got this pic yesterday morning. It's a little grainy due to the zoom lens being on full magnification, but given that small birds around here hardly ever stand still for more than a moment, I'm glad that I got the pic at all. This guy and his mate have a nest in a row of evergreens nearby, as do at least a dozen other avian families; the babies make quite a racket everyday, demanding food, while the harried parents are flying everywhere, hunting for insects and worms while keeping an eye out for the occasional stray cat. Squirrels, rabbits, and occasionally other animals wander through the area as well, making the side lot here quite a zoo.
