I havent ever really care that much for ballet..I am inspire by artist were inspired by ballet dancers and love ballet photography. so yeah heres my ballet art

really good, just one thing, you know when you tie the knot of the ribbbons at the back of the ankle, the knot needs to be tucked in as it is more professional. Other than that it is really nice

The ribbon shouldn't generally be at the back of the ankle because it can cause knots, sores and other issues in that muscle, tie it on the inside of the ankle, but I do agree the ribbon needs to be tucked in.

I wish my pointe shoes still looked that new! I probably should get a new pair before Swan Lake......

Absolutely gorgeous. the lighting, the drama coming from the photo. Well done by you, though next time you do a ballet shoot, tell your model to tuck in the drawstrings and the ribbon. Sorry, a lot of people wil pick on that, especially the ballet dancers. Hehe!

This is a beautiful shot, the lighting is just right. I dance, but after I fractured my foot, I don't think I'm going to be able to do pointe work in ballet again soon

excellent expression of what us dancers would call an assamble. A couple pointers though:
when shooting someone in pointe shoes, make sure the draw strings and ribbons are tucked in.
Much more proffessional that way.

this is a beautiful photo - i used to do ballet when i was very young and loved it

The lighting is perfect for the entire theme. Very classic, however it has modern touches which is really what ballet is all about. I do not agree with adagiobreezes, though. Ballerinas are not "tortured", as adagio stated, if they really love the art and enjoy dancing. I danced for many years and went through blisters and sprained ankles but never regretted any of it or blamed it on the dance.

The picture is well done. What it makes me feel is a sort of revulsion. Not at the picture or the art of ballet, but at the way the feet convey the torture of the dance. I once read that ballerinas often experience broken toes and bloodied toes from the excrutiation act of balancing there weight on a part of the body that was never meant to bear the burden. I am amazed that they are able to appear so gracefull and composed while doing it.

it hurts like crazy, and we do bled, but it's from blisters and not broken bones. if you break a toe from pointe work something is wrong with you, you're either to young (bones aren't strong enough yet) or dancing with VERY poor technique.
you're right to be amazed by our composure though (and i don't mean to be bragging or anything) we will smile on stage, but often the moment we're fully in the wings the tears will come.

it's a nice photo. those ballet shoes look pretty unsued and new! they are still so inflexible. i have many of those but they are all so ugly to make photos, they are all over used and with stanis of blood and well... these are nice! lol
