Aaah, did you get any pictures at the Halema'uma'u crater? I always found the lava cover so.... creepy in a way. Like a lost world almost.

Oh yes, we sure did!! It was very eerie, I agree, and when we were there it was very rainy and hazy mixed with the smoke boiling out from the crater, it was destined to feel like a lost world 
Because of all the rain my photos of the actual crater weren't great, that's why i haven't uploaded them as stock, but I'm happy to share if you or anybody else has a request for them of course

I( actually lived in Hilo for a long time. I have a nice big picture of the crater. I should upload it. And yes, it rains there a ton. 200 inches a year? I just never got any good lava pictures. I saw yours and man! You're so lucky! But you do have wonderful pictures here. Good eye. I borrowed a few to see if I can bring in this recent dream of mine into a "visual." It's stuck in my head. Hmm... let me stick that crater picture up. I made a panoramic out of it. You might like it.
