Description
Done in Open Canvas 3.03E + Photoshop CS2Fanart of Advanced Angel from the PS2/Wii game "Baroque".
Phew... this piece took me quite a while... Again I was experimenting with a new CGing technique so I guess that was why it took me so long to finish this. Even though it ended up looking quite different to what I intended from the start, I was quite happy with the final product.
I have always been attracted to the designs in the remake of this game. To be honest, that was the reason why I bought the game in the first place
(the fact that Advanced Angel was voiced by Miyano Mamoru was a great plus though... at certain parts of the game I almost thought it was Light of "Death Note" in the game) I've had the game sitting in my collection for quite a long time but the idea of drawing this piece didn't came to me until quite recently - when I finally got hold of the soundtrack. Just when I was listening to the opening theme, bits of the opening animation flash through my mind and that was when the inspiration for this piece hit me.To conclude, listening to music is a great way to inspire creativity in one's mind!

I have watched some videos of this game, but it looks kind of monotonous and dull to me. However, the fanart there is of it is gorgeous, and the story sounds interesting. I don't know if it looks dull just because you have to play it yourself? Is this game worth my time and money, or should I follow what my feelings towards the little amount of videos I have seen tells me and stay away?

First off: Omg, he's about as high as you get on the "I want as a boyfriend" list! (Just based off of looks, if they can't think for themselves then that's one less candidate... Although, a little eye candy never hurts )
Secondly: I have this game somewhere (for the wii)... Curse you advanced angel, if not for that pretty boy face (the best kind in my opinion) I'd have never bought the game!!! Stupid gamestop, that thing was so over priced ($20)! Do you actually play the game, and if so, what is the friggin' point?!

Hey I have been wondering something, I see on some fanart(like yours) they call him Advanced Angel. Isn't it Arch Angel? Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Love the red overtone of the picture, and the way Archangel's eye just stand out.
The perspective is very impressive, from his arm to the Neuro Tower.

Great job, there isn't enough good Baroque fan art. I particularly like how you colored his wings. And I also only bought the game because of the picture on the box.

I really like the designs and storyline that the Baroque game has too. However, the gameplay is like, impossible, and so confusing. I tried playing it a few times and its not like you'd think according to the booklet...I HATE the VT too...I wouldn't so much if it didn't depleat so fast... T_T. And the fact you get not storyline introduction...its like '

This piece is worth the time. The detail and shading is perfect! The anatomy is for more advanced than my... not so proportional facial expressions.
This game is truly just plan WEIRD but very interesting.

i've played the english version for wii. it's pretty cool. shame that they change the names around a bit. for example, advanced angel is known as archangel.

Miyano's voice is angelic anyway, so it's no surprise that he plays this character XD.
How did you listen to the original Japanese voices? Did you import the game from Japan? Anyway, I love the fanart! One of the reasons I want the game is because I thought the Advanced Angel looks cool, but I heard that the game is hard. Maybe I'll rent it.
