Description This is a macro shot (using stacked macro filters) of frost on the tailgate of the truck. Every morning has been an adventure in frost for the past several days - I'm always excited to take the dogs out and see what designs were left for me during the night.

I decided to be adventurous this morning and try to get a picture (macro, of course) of the frosty spikes on the tailgate of the truck. I haven't seen them stand up like this - even THEY must have been crazy freezing! LOL

Shot with Pentax k110d, using 18-55mm Pentax kit lens with stacked macro filters attached. Shot at -1EV in direct sunlight.

Very nice!

Ah you found out how to use them? What was the problem?

Hey Harry - no, I just macro filters I had. I never figured out how to get sharp images with the extensions tubes but I am pretty certain is has everything to do with lack of lighting and reduced light from the tubes themselves...I've learned that to wait until spring/summer is the best time to shoot with them here, as you must be outdoors to really get anything clear (natural outdoor lighting)...so I'll try again with them when it is brighter outside.
