Update: Thanks to *duggiehoo for noting the species. This is Silene virginica.Don't know what it is. Just enjoyed it on our drive in the woods yesterday.

Looking through your work thinking about the show you're getting ready for - this piece has a lot of emotion in it. It's almost sexual. Might get the blood flowing in the crowd you'll be exhibiting for. It's fun to show them non-sexual subjects with extra feeling in them... This might be a winner since it doesn't outright challenge their morality, but has those undertones (which you can totally deny if you want).

They are more reddish than pink...in some places. Some common names are confusing and very confusing at the same time.
