Because I can't sleep, it's four in the morning, and I'm hacking up a lung due to a cold I picked up somehow somewhere All good reasons to waste time finishing two-year-old art instead of actually attempting to sleep #artistthuglife

Anyways. A long-overdue page committed to one of my core characters next to Sierra, I present to you D.J; a generally happy, curious, and can-be inquisitive dog fox, that just can't seem to wipe that smile from his face. He tends to express himself a lot more than a certain stoney-faced vixen, and he loves adventure and to be up and about, but can also sunbathe the afternoon away if he so chooses. He can be quite curious too...enough to where it can get him in trouble. Not much of a fighter, he'd rather avoid conflict if he can help it. He's a bad liar, but has a vivid imagination, and he is able to conjure up some wild tales if the storytelling mood strikes him. He is very empathetic, oftentimes going out of his way to help his friends, and has a heart as golden as his coat. Struggles to be not so much of a pushover, but won't do anything that he deems isn't right. A noble character at heart, with a surprising gift in courage, that he himself isn't very aware of. Can be mischievous...

D.J's real name is "Daniel Jay", but he prefers the abbreviation.

And there the 'brief' summery on this character. I love this guy, goof as he is For his theme, I choose the element of 'earth' or 'forest', to best portray his humble nature. As an 'artist's note', his full black ears were actually a mistake...years ago when I created him, I intended only the tips to be black. But as it would have it, a sudden slip of the hand streaked one permanently dark, and I didn't have the heart to start over, so I went with it. I can't say I have any regrets about it either
