For lack of a better title
My part of the art trade between the amazingly talented , featuring his Ikran character Keegan...and a random fox of mine
You wonder why Ikrans only allow one rider per entire life? Because things like this would get annoying reaaaally fast...
And either they got some sort of giant race of Vulpes living on Pandora that we didn't know about, or Keegan there took a shrink pill
The world will never know.I hope you like him ! *And I hope I did him justice!

Great picture as usual! I had just finished watching Balto(oh, the nostalgia...) before checking dA. Quite the coincedince to find this picture just afterwards.
Anyways, what do you use for coloring? The colors are so vibrant!

Oh man, I love that movie! Been a while since I've seen it. But yes, that is quite a coincidence
I used crayola and prismacolor colored pencils...they were the closest coloring utensil (besides my usual paint) that was within reach 0_0

Also, you did an amazing job in coloring and shading Are you using watercolors or pencils here? I think it was never possible for me to create such smooth colors with prismacolor pencils
All in all this is a great piece with a great idea behind it.

The wings? Really? Eh, ikran google images (and from my own experience from playing the game) helped me out there. Wings for me can be a bit of a struggle sometimes, especially if it's an animal I have never drawn before (or have drawn a lot of).
And no, no one can draw you character's wings better than you!(and your character himself). I LOVE how detailed Keegan is in your style, very interesting and unique
As for the fox, he will wish he'd never been so eager to worm a ride out of Keegan, as I'm sure he would still be annoyed him for ordering him around
Ah coloring. Why u take so long!?
No, no watercolors for this piece. All in pencil my friend, except for the outlining. That there was courtesy from the Bic roller pen I found on the ground a few days ago. Man does that thing work wonders! It is now one of my new favorite things to use for outlining. I would highly recommend one for the way it goes over pencil lines so well 
And to get that smoothness, I go over the picture in layers at a time, until it becomes what you see there.
Again, thank you so much! I really enjoyed doing this with you, and yes, when neither of us are quite as busy, we must do this again

And about the wings... No I'm serious. That lowest part of his wings on the picture (I have no idea what it's called :I) was much too long in my "Keegan" picture

Got an idea for my next picture
Anyway, yes, I often find all my supply of pencils and pens on the ground in the school hallways and rooms. Careless kids who lose stuff, I say oppertunity!
Fabercastell huh? Yeah, I've heard of 'em. I wanted to buy some a few months ago but, didn't have it in the budget to do so
And yes, more layers = smooth look! Just be careful how you do it, for I have learned the hard way

And you wouldn't believe how fast I emptied my black pencils for several older pictures. Like a whole half pencil for one picture
