My Nordanner mare 2595 Cyrene entered in the Nordanner Olymics Dressage Class .
Class entered: Novice Dressage.
Rider: Sobian Antrium.
Stable: Antrium Stables.

Antrium was not known for liking the Nordanner horses, in fact, they often just sold on whatever Nords they obtained or never used the creatures. Cyrene, however, was the so far lone exception to this unfortunate rule, she was the one Nord that Sobian had wanted from the first moment she saw her. Cyrene had a beautiful gait which made her perfect for dressage, Sou's new discipline. At first, AS failed to buy her as they were out bid during the first sale. However, when Sou saw her up for sale again, she jumped at the chance.

Now the dappled grey peafowl was trained in dressage and allowed Antrium to finally enter a Nordanner exclusive event. It felt so foreign, so odd, but it was wonderful to finally show off AS's favoured Nord.

Sobian was a champion international dressage rider and competer but Cyrene was not and her rider acknowledged this. They entered in the novice class so the mare wouldn't be sorely outclassed as she was rather green compaired to the usual competers. Nordanners of all kinda of colours and sizes were entered and still Sobian didn't feel impressed or have any desire to own them, except Cyrene, who was rather plain and not that flashy, for some reason the gently little mare stole her heart.

Although she was new and hadn't had as much training as say Freyja or Grace, Cyrene gracefully danced through her dressage completion and showed off her shiny white coat and loose flowing mane and tail. It showed that Sobian was more professional than her mount, but, bless the little darling, Cyrene danced her heart out in the arena. All the magical creature was missing was a sparkling horn and she would truely look like a mythical unicorn.

Cyrene was a listener and so dressage suited her, she listened to the music and, more importantly, listened to Sobian. Sou's soft but firm voice guided her around the arena as she elegantly and, occasionally stumbling over herself, dancing with the music, her long, thickly feathered legs seeming to bearly touch the ground as the soft sand underfoot carried her around as if on cloud. Sou would never even have to ajust her hand as a mere word was enough to have her beautiful mare change her gait, adjust her speed or simply straighten up. It seemed a little sad to leave the arena but alas the music came to an end and Cyrene finished on her practiced Square Halt. After being praised and patted by her rider the little grey swiftly left the arena, more relaxed and dragging her feet a little.

After their show Sobian dismounted the sweet little grey and walked her around in the shade to cool off. The trees provided welcom shade from the heat that Sou was not accustomed to. Cyrene was holding up a great deal better, having been in different climates before, and seemed happy to be outside without a jacket for the first time in a while. Sou loosened Cyrene's girth and changed her bridle for a head collar before sitting down under a tree and letting out a sigh, wiping her forehead. She looked up at the mare who had just a moment ago been dancing her little heart out for her rider.

"You're a sweet little superstar, so you are." She said softly to the mare, stroking her soft muzzle affectionately. "You're making me fall in love with Nordanners, if only most of them were like you. I don't care if you get last, you're still a wee winner in my book, Cy. I wasn't sure until this show, but Antrium's your forever home. You keep showing off how amazing you can be."

Cyrene's blue eyes simply looked back at Sou with warmth, rubbing her forehead against her arm gently. Sou smiled and patted her before continuing to walk.
