Day 18 of #obscutober : Monachopsis π> n. the subtle but persistent feeling of being out of place, as maladapted to your surroundings as a seal on a beachβlumbering, clumsy, easily distracted, huddled in the company of other misfits, unable to recognize the ambient roar of your intended habitat, in which you'd be fluidly, brilliantly, effortlessly at home.
This isn't my proudest one π I rushed for this but at the same time it was a little personal for me so I really wanted to get it done.
Instead of focusing on the more depressing side of the meaning, I wanted to also bring light to "...in which you'd be fluidly, brilliantly, effortlessly at home"
Not only does it imply that there is in fact, a place you belong, but it also gives hope that it will be so natural and 'complimenting' mutually (???)π π
So I chose to represent this using a moon. The moon, in the right place (the night sky) will be fluidly, brilliantly, effortlessly at home. π Not to say it doesn't look pretty elsewhere, it just doesn't really fit, let's say, in a day sky π
Maybe we all have this small 'moon' aspect in our lives, always constantly finding the right night sky to finally be at home.
I hope one day we all will achieve that.
