I finished this project in Nov 2014, but completely spaced on posting it. At this rate I'm only averaging 1 a year, but I'm not giving up on my sewing creations anytime soon!

This is a fanart plush of Nyan Nyan Nyanko, disguised as a (white bean) mooncake, a Chinese dessert. You can Google info on mooncakes - but in short, they are friggin' delicious so this is a project close to my heart.

This is a copy of the official 6" (not "BIG") UFO plush from the Nyanko Onsen series [the "BIG" ufo plush has some subtle differences). I've wanted to buy it forever, but never found one or missed out on auctions. And of course, 6 months after I completed the project I found one ecrater... but oh well. I tried to mimic the actual size, materials & colors of the official plush, along with the paper tag. I cannot seem to find a dye lot of ivory velboa that matches the actual Nyankos... so white was substituted.

~5.5in

Materials are:

Cat fabrics - white velboa [Fabric Empire; BigZ fabric; Sy fabric], tiger gold craft velour [CR's Crafts]
Cat eyes - black 6.5mm safety eyes [Yeah Panda shop on Amazon]
Cat face - machine embroidered mouth using Brother PE 770
Cat whiskers - black crochet thread
Stuffing - Polyfil
Mooncake design - acrylic paint stencil (machine cut using a Silhouette) & dry-brushed acrylic accents
