MAY 2008 THEME:
GARDEN

So... I've made one other set of jewelry that I've not taken photos of yet, but this set I don't need a prop person (or additional photographer) to take a shot of. This is the best shot I've taken of it so far (at night, boo!), and is fairly true to the original colors. These are tri-shade roses, like most of the others posted a few days back. I was making more purple beads and thought, "Hey... these could make a very nice necklace." And once I thought of that, I couldn't very well stop without some earrings, could I?

===

Sculpey III clay in violet, original Sculpey (white) used to blend the two non-pure shade of lavender for the buds, Sculpey III moss for the leaves on the buds, glass leaves and metal findings.

(grins shyly) So glad you like it. Had a request for one in pink, but she never had the money for it. (shrugs) Oh well... I don't think $20 is all that much to ask for it when it takes so much time to make them.

(smiles, hugs) Yes, I know you do, even though yours are smaller, they still take time to do without crushing them.

Would you believe this sold at work today to another one of my co-workers by the time I'd been there 4 hours? I wore it in, and she liked it so much... And I've been commissioned to make another in other colors. $25 for a set, +s/h if you stick with the green glass leaves (which are easy to get), some of my other (mostly glass) beads that I have available to me or a bit more if you want some of the other sorts of leaves/beads I can hunt down. Color preferences and whether you prefer silver or gold tone metal findings are helpful.

(bows deeply) Thank you very much for both the and the sweet comment! The dark purple is pure Sculpey III violet, carefully blended down to half strength, while the glass leaves came in a packet together, a mix of two shades of green. I've got some lovely red/brown/gold clays that would make a lovely assortment of fall leaves, if I figure out how I want to shape those.
