Get ready to listen to rant peeps, because this thing has bothered me since October, when I saw that teaser for the first time. And my first impression was: that whole episode looks so damn cheap D: But okay, most of the scenes are still acceptable, the animation of the Warner siblings running out for the first time is even done pretty well. But the next moment I simply can not accept to this very day... What's wrong with gravity around Yakko in that scene?! "Mah, they are just cartoons - they can do anything", you'd say? No!! Believe or not, but even in their world it doesn't work that way. Even Wile E. Coyote must fall sooner or later; and speaking for the Warners, in their classic show there were tons of scenes with funny moments due to gravity: how someone leaning over, floating away and so on. These moments usually happen unobtrusively, they're quiet and wordless - but your mind still sees it and reads it, after which you perceive the entire animated scene as much richer.

So I finally redrew this frame for myself in order to just feel less bothered... No, wait, 'redrew' is not the most correct word here - more like I supplemented it. In the 90s style
I actually don't mind that Yakko's pose, if it only hadn't been frozen like that 'till the very end of the whole scene. In the most perfect way, I see it like this: at the beginning of the scene we see Yakko in that first position, then during about three-four frames the position slowly changes to similar to the one I did below and when the camera brings us to Dot > , he is already in this new position completely - because gravity works! At least this is how the old show would have done this moment, I believe.

Alright, before you think I'm some animation snob who hates the reboot, I will say that I don't hate it at all - there are still a lot of things which I love, in fact. But at the same time, I feel really sorry for it. I just see it could have been mmmuch better if someone had put more effort (and worthy payment!) into it. Let's hope, the quality of both animation and storytelling will be improved in the coming seasons owo"
