Description
This drawing might look a bit different from the way i normally draw. I want to learn how to use greyscales properly and this was my first realistic attempt at is. It was a good learning experience and i will draw more in greyscale in the future.
Story
Raven was sick of training. Sick of waking up so early. Sick of the unwanted and strict movements she had so make. She needed a day off.
It was a gloomy day and it just stopped raining. Raven hadn't trained today and because the indoor arena was occupied and the outdoor arena was filled with water
she was put in the pasture. It was a bit muddy, but Raven didn’t sink in the ground while walking. It had been storming for a few days and Raven liked the fact that
had stopped for a while. She started to walk around the pasture when she noticed something. A few parts of the fence were missing. Raven walked closer and saw
that the wood was almost hanging loose. She got an idea. Raven turned around and gave a solid kick to the wood. It broke immediately. Raven made a happy oink-like
sound and walked back to start her jump over the fence. While she was getting ready to jump she heard her owners screaming to Raven to not try to jump away. Raven
ignored it. She wasn’t going to stay here anymore and do things she didn’t want to do. She jumped and started running away as fast as she could.
After 30 minutes of running she slowed down her pace. She was still on the open fields, but she saw a forest close by. She took a break and decided to eat some grass.
Sadly for Raven that break didn’t last long. The rain started slowly falling down the sky until it was pouring again. Raven quickly ran towards the forest in hope to find some
shelter there. Luckily for Raven it was a close forest and the trees blocked the rain pretty good. The forest smelled lovely. She never smelled anything so good. The plants
gave a lovely aroma and Raven enjoyed it with every breath she took. The ground was getting muddy and harder to walk on.
After a while Raven was sick of the sticky ground. Her whole legs were filled with mud and the rain attracted mosquitoes. She found an big old tree and decided to stay
there and take a rest. She fell asleep.
Raven woke up. She fell something on her head. She opened her eyes and was startled for a moment. Leona, Caithlyn and Dante were standing next to her and Leona
just put a halter on her head. Caithlyn also had a bag of potato chips in her hand.
“You must be hungry. Staying here al night without any food” said Caithlyn with a calm voice. She couldn’t be more wrong. Before Raven fell asleep she found a bush filled
with good tasting berry’s. But it’s not like Caith knew that and Raven quickly stuck her head in the bag. Dante inspected Raven to see if she had injuries, but she seemed
completely fine beside a small scratch on her knee. After Raven finished the potato chips she stood up and walked to a car. Raven had never been in a trailer before and
with this muddy ground Leona decided that Raven and Caithlyn and Dante had to walk home with her. Leona started the car and drove home to the stable while Dante and
Caithlyn walked back to the stable.
Back in the stable Raven was spoiled with a freshly cleaned stable, a net filled with hay and a feed basket filled with potato chips. Raven was happy. The stable was a lot
warmer than that gloomy forest. She enjoyed every second of getting brushed and she also decided to put a little effort in training.
