Great work, you have an impressively unique capture here, and some great photographic elements to it that make this really cool to look at.
I like the way you played with light and shadow in this image. I think they are essentially imperative to each other – you need the shadow to emphasize the light and vice versa. This is easily notceable in areas where they go right beside each other, such as the step. Very light beside very dark looks good together.
I also really love the level of detail. There's a lot to look at in this one, especially with that texture of rock and the desaturated style. Great clarity.
I really like the wheelbarrow, and I think that it gives this shot life that wouldn't be there otherwise. The wheelbarrow gives it context and a bit of a human story in an otherwise rather bleak picture.
The capture speaks to me, but I what it is missing is a clear focal point. There is no real action, which is fine, but there has to be something that my eye is drawn to. The wheelbarrow is close, but it's rather shadowed to be the focal point.
