Désirée's key features in interaction are her social attitude and her flirting. She loves talking to people, she likes to drag information out of them and she likes to get to know them in a physical manner. She worms her way in, so to speak. She loves to be active and drag people into contagious happiness. It bums her out when it doesn't work. When she isn't too busy with the less virtuous aspects of her attitude, she is marked by exceptional kindness and care. She isn't shy of helping those in need when she can. She doesn't mind surprising people with cooking or baked goodies. She will tend to people's wounds to the degree she is capable of. Her love is as big as her lust, so to say.
Despite her confidence in many things, she also is plagued by a lot of insecurities. Certainly, when relationships go beyond acquaintances. She would be scared of doing anything wrong. She also wouldn't like to hurt. If she were not to agree, she would say it with regret and immediately expects the worst. She deems every relationship she builds as fragile as glass. She treats it like one word could shatter the whole thing. Which induces anxiety and doubt.

History:
Désirée had always lived in a rather poor family. But it never killed their happiness. After all her parents were loving and pampered her often. They would sing together, read together and play together. When she got older they would even cook together and do the household together. The three of them helped each other almost all the time. The times they weren't together would be when her parents were on their jobs and she was getting the basic education. Her parents, despite their poverty, never forced Désirée to be anything she was not. She therefore learnt to play the bandura. An instrument her father played as well.
Things went well, until her father passed away. Things became a struggle. Désirée needed to bring in money. Eventually, her mother stopped working all together as she became more and more depressed. Désirée felt like she was the mother now. She did her best to support her remaining parent. She cared for her religiously. Until the woman lost her life to a broken heart.
Left with only memories of glorious times and love, she went from tavern to tavern singing sad songs while playing her bandura. A group of travelling musicians were enchanted by her voice, her sad songs finding purchase in their hearts. They chatted her up and they would hang out a lot more. They took her up in their group and decided to stay in Tyto because Désirée was not ready for travel and leaving behind the precious memories her house held. They often play in various taverns, but also at parties of nobles and more.
Due to her interactions with her new group of friends, she flourished. She became more social and confident once again, regaining her past vigour. She therefore went on to chatting up random people and wasn't afraid to bed them. Like this she had quite a few boyfriends. Most of them bad relationships, but short lived. She got together with a certain ural owl. However, he was very abusive and would hurt her often. Her friends weren't happy with this but she had to break up herself. After a few years of tolerating his mental and physical abuse, she decided to break up with him. After that she was rather broken.
Still she gravitated towards bad boys unknowingly, but couldn't keep a relationship and didn't want one, trying to find comfort in any physical interaction she could initiate. She would address anyone only with a one night stand in mind.

- Speaks both English and French.
- Can transform into a western barn owl at will.
- When Désirée wants to avoid going sexual and is interested in only romantic aspects of interaction, she might turn into her barn owl form to cuddle up. This quirk started as her trying to avoid abuse from her past boyfriends, convinced they wouldn't hit her when she was in owl form. This was wrong often. However, it's an easy form for hiding and escaping when the other doesn't turn into their owl form as well.
