pigments: PR102, PY43, PG50, PR233, PW6, PV15, also PV15 on strathmore 400 toned tan and cardstock ;_;
I think the years I did ceramics affected how I approach painting! I work in multiples and on bats (glass) for Important Paintings.
goals outside my comfort zone reached:
~more than five figures/group scene
~album cover-esque/square composition (inspired by 60s-80s SF book covers)
~more setting/background, less portraiture (than my usual work)
it's not the paper I wanted to paint this on, it's the paper[s] that could go through the printer! (my aphantasic self now knows enough about blender to set up a scene and very basic lighting to study shadows, and uhhh by the time I did all that I didn't feel like pulling out the lightpad and tracing all the figure detail three times so I did my lineart in Procreate which is how I ended up here)
These have been completed, I chose the best to submit, and if it's selected you can see it in the art gallery at Furality Umbra (2024) in VRChat.
