Description
This is my illustration of Rose Quartz from the cartoon "Steven Universe".
I never really liked Rose Quartz because of the simple reason that i didn't really had a good vibe about her. And i still don't really know how to feel about her because she seems very manipulative and i still think that she only gave birth to steven to run away from the diamonds but since her gem is still on steven i don't really know.
But she has been growing on my lately because of her quotes and songs and her design is really cute (and i really like her with greg... not pearl because pearl deserves better) AND she is one of my Birth Stones (her, pearls, moonstones and calcites) so she is kind of part of me i guess ahaha. I really love her song "Love Like You" and i just made her with greg's shirt because I SHIP IT! And the tshirt is cool af (and i have "like a comet" on my head)

I am starting doing commissions again because last time i anounced it i didn't really had much feed back and i'm still pretty broke... Money is like time, it flies. And my birthday is comming up and i am saving money for a tattoo. So this time i am doing a journal entry because it seems to be better for this sort of thing and i am also going to put the prices of each commission with the details in order for it to be more explicit.
As always i have a couple of "rules" (i hate that i used this word) for commissions because there is some stuff in DA that i don't agree with:

Yeah most people reaaally like her but for some reason but... She gives me a bad vibe... I guess is just the fact that in the show she kind of seems too nice and flawless and that she looves everybody so deeply and to me she just seems pretty manipulative (and steven even referes to her as giving birth to him as a way of escaping the diamonds which was something i always thought was the actual truth about her) but if you have any other theorys about rose please tell me because i really want to like her! (She is my birth stone so i should do)

to be fair, I think it is how they try to get people emotionally connected with her, so you could feel much more remorse for her death. but when you think deeply about it, Rose-Quartz isn't that nice. she rebels against her own people, and raises an army of other Gems, causing the the shattering of thousands of Gems, some of with are patched together in different pieces which cause the mutated Gems existence, plus in the episode where garnet reminiscence about her "birth" we see Rose-Quartz smirk as she took down a giant Ruby and later it's revealed she shattered Pink diamond, whom she was associated with, perhaps at a deep level of trust, so that shows her dedication to defy her species and defend humanity. so yeah she was nice and loving to one side, the other... not as much.

Yeah but then she has that whole ideal of not shattering gems ( like we saw on Bismuth's episode) because the whole point of the chrystal gems is to fight them without shattering which made her character hypocrital and full of ideals that not even herself can accomplish.

well... at least it shows part of my point. which is that Rose-Quartz isn't all that perfect, I meant it takes a lot of guts to go against her own kind like that, and it's not like all the homeworld gems are bad. Lapis Lazuli was trapped in a mirror thanks to the Crystal gems, and all she wanted to do was go back home. Peridot just wanted to prove her worth, and she later helps save the world.
