PERSONALITY & BACKGROUND

Usually known as a "lazy horse", he's slow to move and slow to learn. He has the perfect personality of a gelding, calm, bombproof, friendly. Haven't kicked anybody in his life and he's the horse you can turn out with any other horse, because he gets along with everybody. Very calm and rythmic movements, his canter is quite big and impressive compared to other gaits. Likes to please people. Can be pushy and definitively doesn't understand how big he is. Albatross is easily distracted, so if the rider is distracted itself, or isn't clear with their aids, he will not cooperate in general.
He became a grey horse very young, so he hasn't changed that much over the years. Still, his mane and tail has become more grey/brown/beige with the years, and the black markings aroundh his eyes has become less visible.

Was brought up as a Eventing horse by the owner's son, Lucas, but he didn't take to jump. Never. He quickly became a dressage prospect but never got to compete as his owner passed away. He became a paddoc 'ornament' until the new owner decided to use him and lease him as a lesson horse. As he didn't know much about horses back then, the horse did't succeed as a good lesson horse, least of all in a showjumping lesson. Between Martina and Jim, they have been slowly training him and bringing him to shows and up the levels on dressage. Martina, Luca's ex-fiancé brought up the idea to change is registered name as nobody liked the "Lonely" part of his name, least of all with the horse story.
Finally, on 2024, Martina was able to change his name from "Lonely Albatross" to just "Albatross."

Neither Martina or Jim wish to pressure the horse onto a big star, but both feel content with giving him a job he excells at.
